The quality of the air has changed noticeably here in BC. Although we have continued to have some lovely warm-like-summer days, there is a quality in the air that changes as autumn arrives. This week marks the Autumn Equinox – time to pull out sweaters, pick apples, and make squash soup. It is a time of change.
There have been many changes this summer – for me, my family, and my work. Birth, death, letting go and reconnecting. I have spent many months preparing to launch the school and in the process I have learned many new things and reconnected to some of my most important truths.
A deep truth for me is the desire to live, work, and play in connection with others. I created the Body-Centered Coaching method because it made sense – it came through me as much as from me. I created it, and I share it, to be of service and because I know it works. It works through connection – through each client’s connection to their own body wisdom and through the connection between coach and client.
I am making an important shift in the direction of my work to more fully honour that truth. I am excited to be co-teaching with three of my Advanced training graduates this fall. I am equally excited to anticipate how they will continue to take this work into the world. My work is ready to grow beyond me.
Watch over coming weeks for a more collaborative approach to my blog, with posts by other members of the Body-Centered Coaching community – sharing their wisdom and perspective. It is time for this community to grow and take the Body-Centered Coach work forward into the world in ways I could not, and don’t want, to do it alone.
