Beyond Limits

Thoughts and beliefs create our reality - how we act, how we feel - and consequently they determine the results that we get. When clients are caught in limiting beliefs they are, in effect, wasting personal resources; effort, energy, thoughts, focus, often spinning in one place. Clients exhibit their limiting thoughts and beliefs in many ways. Their language suggests they are fearful, have no choice, are stuck, defensive and they generally lack energy to move forward.

"Whether you think you can or you think you can’t, you are right." ~ Henry Ford

In the Beyond Limits training, you will learn and experience three powerful processes to assist your clients to move beyond non-resourceful thinking, and create new results for themselves. Connecting your clients with their body-wisdom will open up new information, possibility, and capacity for moving forward. With Body-Centered Coaching you will learn to help your clients:

  • Transform disempowering beliefs and old patterns of behavior into empowering beliefs and behavior.
  • Untangle ideas or concepts that they have fused together thereby removing the limits on their experience.
  • Move beyond fear and anxiety by increasing their capacity to be with their uncomfortable emotions and allow them to transform.

The Three Processes

Beyond Disempowering Beliefs

Beliefs can be empowering, encouraging limitless possibilities in our lives. Or, beliefs can be disempowering, encouraging us to settle for limited possibilities in our lives. Beliefs form patterns of thoughts or attitudes that we have about ourselves and influence how we interpret our world. They are the filters through which we respond to life. The practice of body-centered coaching offers a seven step process for transforming disempowering beliefs and old patterns of behavior into empowering beliefs and behavior.

Beyond Fusions - (collapsed distinctions)

Fusion refers to the way we have fused two things together in our mind. An example would be the idea that if we cry it means that we are weak. So, when we shed some tears, we automatically assume that it’s a display of weakness. Using hand and arm movements, this technique assists the client to separate the two ideas or concepts that they have fused together, thereby removing the limits on their experience.

Beyond Fear

Sometimes clients are so ensconced in fear that they can’t function, or even begin to work with the beliefs or issues; the fear itself needs to be directly and immediately addressed. This process encourages clients to be more compassionate and present to their fear - so they can move beyond it.

As a forward-thinking coach you recognize the importance of integrating the whole client, not just the mind. Body-Centered Coaching addresses the missing piece that integrates the mind with the body. It puts into practice the current science about how a human being - your client - operates as a whole: body, mind and spirit.
